It was a big week for the 10th-generation Honda Civic. The most popular car in Canada saw its range greatly expand as the Honda Civic hatchback was unveiled in concept form at the New York International Auto Show, just before the Civic Coupe finally arrived in dealerships on March 24th.

Let's start with the Honda Civic Hatchback concept shown in New York. We know it will be powered by the new turbocharged 1.5-liter engine and it can be equipped with a manual six-speed transmission for what is sure to be a very dynamic driving experience.

“The Civic Hatchback wraps the 10-generation Civic platform and five-door utility in emotional, Euro-inspired styling,” said Dave Gardner, senior vice president of Honda Canada  Inc. “Offered with the first application of the 1.5-liter turbo engine paired with a manual transmission, this Civic is sure to attract a whole new set of enthusiasts buyers to the model and Honda brand.”

Si and Type R versions are sure to follow.

Those who do not want to wait for these sportier versions of the 2016 Honda Civic can turn to the Coupe version that has just arrived at Civic Motors. The latter is available starting at $ 19,455 while the top-of-the-line Civic Touring CVT is available from $ 27,555.
