Honda unveils Civic Coupe in Los Angeles

Published on November 24 2015

Honda took the wraps off the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show which got underway last week.

After the sedan, which has already made its way to dealerships, it was time for Honda to unveil the Coupe version of its popular compact vehicle, and Honda chose Hollywood to do just that. More specifically, Honda took the wraps off the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show which got underway last week.

The Civic Coupe takes the sedan’s bold styling to another level, especially in the back where a spoiler is perfectly integrated into the overall design, which is more powerful and sportier, a nod to the Civic Coupe’s more dynamic personality. The media generally praised the Civic Coupe and noted that it looks a lot like the spectacular concept that was unveiled at last year’s New York auto show.

Inside the Civic Coupe, buyers get a little more room along with the 10th generation Civic’s new dashboard and center console design that is more modern and more user-friendly.

Under the hood, the base engine is the new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower while those looking for more power can opt for the brand new turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will offer 174 horsepower.

The Honda Civic Coupe is the next step in the development of the new Civic lineup. Even sportier SI and Type R versions will follow, along with the return of the Civic Hatchback.
