Honda Ends 2014 on a High Note

Khalil Dagher | Published on January 27 2015

Japanese manufacturer Honda had a great year last year, registering an increase in sales and seeing several models stay at the top in terms of sales figures. With the arrival of several new models in 2015, the next year will be even better for Honda.

Among the highlights of the past year, we note the success of the Honda Civic that remained the highest selling car in Canada for the 17th consecutive year. In addition, the new Honda CR-V remained popular with consumers as demonstrated by its new record of 37,684 sales, 3,000 more than in 2013 when it recorded its previous record.

In total, Honda sold 152,893 cars in 2014, 5% more than in 2013. Including the luxury brand Acura, Honda sold 172,426 vehicles last year.

We want to thank the thousands of Canadians who supported Honda and this past year, as our loyal customers are a key pillar of our success.  Closing out the year with best annual sales in our company’s history for both the Honda brand and Honda Canada combined is a true testament to the strong value of our overall product offering,” said Jerry Chenkin, president and CEO of Honda Canada Inc.
