The 2016 Honda Fit is a great five-door hatchback; it is stylish, comfortable and one of the best fuel-efficient cars available on the market. Everything about it is appealing and it is available in four great trims: DX, LX, EX and the fully loaded EX-L Navi. Prices start at $14,730 for the DX variant.

A modern look for the 2016 Honda Fit

The look of the Honda Fit has been upgraded for this generation. It has a leaner, meaner shape, which gives it more stance and attitude. Most trims get body-coloured door handles and a body-coloured rear roofline spoiler, but all trims get LED brake lights as standard equipment. The great EX-L NAVI model features standard mirror-integrated LED turn indicators, integrated fog lights and a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature.

Inside the 2016 Honda Fit, the low dash provides the driver with maximum visibility on the road.  The bezels, surfaces, shapes, and trim textures are made out of quality materials, giving the cabin a more upscale feel. On the convenience level, all 2016 Ft variants come with HandsFreeLink-bilingual Bluetooth wireless mobile phone interface and a very practical multi-angle rear-view camera. The EX-L Navi gets a Display Audio System with HondaLink and Honda’s Next Generation Satellite-Linked Navigation System. Finally, LX trims and higher get the steering wheel-mounted cruise control feature. All variants feature the 60/40 Split 2nd-Row Magic Seat, which is  a split folding rear seat that can not only flip forward, but flip back and upward, allowing four different modes that adapt to the cargo. The maximum cargo space is 470 L when the seats are up and 1492 L when they are down.

The 2016 Honda Fit is ready for the challenge

Under the hood, the 2016 Fit is powered by a direct-injected 1.5-liter four cylinder engine that produces 130 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. A great six-speed manual gearbox is the standard transmission, but a continuously-variable transmission (CVT) is also available. This CVT maximizes fuel efficiency, with 7.3 city, 6.1 highway and 6.8 combined fuel consumption (in L/100km). Also, CVT Equipped models feature Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. As for the standard six-speed manual, the fuel consumption is 8.1 l/100 km in the city, 6.4 L/100 km on the highway and 6.8 L/100 km combined.

Honda has surpassed itself once again with the new Fit. It is the best option in the sub compact car segment. Moreover, it is backed by Honda’s undeniable reliability and a great warranty. Stop by Civic Motors and one of our representatives will show you all the new features of the 2016 Honda Fit!
